@Licmycat
@patrikkorda What's sdr reserves? Anyway, it would prolly be best for every bit of it to disappear. Including jewelry made of it. It's time to totally change our monetary system.
@Licmycat
@patrikkorda Uh-huh. Interesting. And you're right. It has no mystic quality. It has a man-made quality. Just like all the idols men have made and worshiped through history. Basically, it is powerless. It was the sorcery men cast on it to give it power to take control of the people....the way I understand it. If it were common as rocks, they could have done nothing with it besides make jewelery at the most. Like the stuff they make cheap jewelery of...:)
@Licmycat
@obamaizmanchurian Gold is what is supposed to be backing up money isn't it? After all, money is just a piece of paper promising value. They call the bills, promissory notes.
@patrikkorda
@Licmycat I suppose they would find another way to hedge against tail-risk. Perhaps they would create sdr reserves.
@patrikkorda
@Licmycat SDR stands for special drawing rights, it is a basket of currencies. In any case, I think gold is up there with constitutions and separations of powers because it serves as a check on legal counterfeiting. This is not because gold has some mystic quality but because it is rare, divisible, amalgamable, and durable.
@patrikkorda
Eric Janszen is my hero.
@Licmycat
Gold is an idol. As well as silver. Those worshipers are in trouble. Bye-bye.
@MrNopehaha
Yea, I'm an Eric J fan now, the man is subtle, but does not mince words and tells the truth!
@WythenshawePhil
Thumbs for Jackie O!
@silverfuturist
Outstanding video, a must see.
@patrikkorda
@Licmycat Gold has no intrinsic value, it is a monetary metal by virtue of the largest institutions holding it. They hold gold as an insurance policy, or what Ben Bernanke would call "tail-risk". If gold was de-monetized, as silver is today, it would be down there with the price of silver.
@Licmycat
@patrikkorda :)....I have to wonder....what would they do if every bit of that gold disappeared and was never found again....?
@Licmycat
@obamaizmanchurian Do you see warehouses full of it with guards guarding them and intending to keep such things forever? Those gold-warehouses look more like religious temples of mammon to me. Why would a metal that is used mostly for money have any value? Can you eat gold?
@largo2001
Great work. Keep it up iTulip!
@overseachininadoll
My question is if Gold is expect to go up to $4000, $5000, $10,000, then why the gold sellers are so stupid so sell their gold at current price of < than $1800? Even if you are luck to get gold at low price but when it goes up to $5000, you might still have half as much by the time you need cash sell your gold. Because I belive if the government do not tax the hell out you the bank will share half of yor profit. Unless if the gold become the currency cash.
@WondyCoin
@Licmycat How can you say this when you compare gold to the current monetary system, where the amount of money is limitless? Seriously, which system is a bigger display of greed? Obviously our current system which punishes those who save and gives incentive to over consume.
