Matilde Gagliardo

Matilde Gagliardo was born in Palermo. She lives and works in Florence (Italy). She is an artist and a documentarist. A former Renaissance art historian, she is the author of essays on the iconography of the Sybils and the Ages of the World. Over the last thirteen years she has produced documentaries and videos, shooting and editing interviews of foreign writers and significant people from Italy and abroad, video portraits, art performances, theatre performances, a documentary on the Sicilian Puppet Theatre, backstage and recordings of broadcasting productions, concerts and musical video clips, and two backstage films of movies by Roberto Andò and Paolo Virzì.
