My name is Diamond Stylz. I am one of the veteran voices of the millennial black trans community. I started my activism at 17 by winning a First Amendment lawsuit, with the help of the ACLU, against the Indianapolis Public School system. At 19, I was the first openly trans woman to attend the legendary HBCU Jackson State University where I honed my passion for being educator. I won 2 GLAAD Awards for PRIDE: To Be Seen on Hulu and a children's book called Becoming Who You are. I won a Scripps Howard Journalism Award for Death In The Family, a groundbreaking investigation into transgender homicides.
