This channel has now become a classic. Our beloved Shelby was put to sleep on September 23rd 2008, due to heartless veterinarian murdering her. The veterinarian told me that he didn't know what was wrong with Shelby, yet all her tests were fine. Shelby didn't appear to be sick, but was lethargic, and had a hard time standing on her feet. She kept laying down, and didn't want to get up. When he weighed her, her weight went from 80lbs to 60lbs. The veterinarian gave her nothing for dehydration. He told me to just feed her Chicken and Rice. I did that for three days, and she appeared to get better. Then on the third day, she couldn't get up again. When I called the vet, he told me we would have to put her to sleep. I didn't believe in my heart, that she needed to be put to sleep, but the vet would do nothing for her. I got to hold her and love her before they put her to sleep. I told her how I would never forget her, and how much fun we had together. I have so many videos of Shelby and they all bring me great joy. I enjoyed video taping our everyday life together, and making her talk and do stuff that people wouldn't believe unless they saw it. Shelby was always a willing participant to entertain and play, cause she loved playing with us and loving us. She also knew she would get rewarded for it. Both my sons loved playing with her, and I recorded those memories, so I would always have them and wouldn't forget them. I shared five wonderful years with Shelby. She dug a hole so deep in my heart, that I had no idea how much I loved her until she died. I had never had a dog before, and Shelby taught me so much. She loved me unconditionally, the way I loved her. She taught me respect, love, obedience, discipline, humor, compassion and mercy. She taught me about the awesomeness of her breed. I never thought the videos of Shelby would become so popular. This channel is dedicated in Shelby's memory. "I love you Shelby girl, you will always be my puppy". Shelby touched so many lives while she was alive, and now she's still touching lives here on YouTube. So, thank you all. Your comments and condolences are very comforting to me, to hear of other people's stories and the loving, kind comments that people post. It's very difficult losing a pet. A dog is like a family member, and to those who have never had a dog or cat, you wouldn't understand, so I'm not going to get mad when you post mean hurtful comments on my wall, or send me vulgar emails. You don't kn
