Gem Club
Gem Club is the vision of Christopher Barnes, a New England-based singer, songwriter, and pianist hailed for making luminous music where "everything is valued" (NPR Music). Bringing orchestral sweep to its majestic dream pop, Gem Club cut a singular presence when it emerged out of Boston with its acclaimed debut, 2011's Breakers, followed by 2014's In Roses, both released on Sub Pop's Hardly Art imprint. "Emerald Press" is Gem Club's first new LP over ten years, a shimmering glimpse of what Barnes calls a "return to making music for a simple reason - it brings me joy."
