Please note: I'm not a belly dancer; the girl doing the fire dance that I shot the video of is named K-Fire, and she is a famous fire performer from San Francisco, CA. I am a Bharatanatyam dancer, which is Hindu temple dance, and has nothing to do with belly dancing. Bharatnatyam is *extremely* difficult to learn, takes 8 year or more to be trained in, and the dancers wear much more modest costumes when they perform. Bharatanatyam dances tell the traditional stories of the Hindu gods and Hindu religion through very complex hand gestures and facial expressions similar to those used in mime performance.
