SimSmith is an interactive "Smith Chart Simulator". It allows the user to design and analyze electrical circuits interactively. As the user changes the circuit or component values, SimSmith updates the Smith chart automatically. A comprehensive library of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, and transmission lines is provided. SimSmith calculates voltage, current, and power for all circuit elements. It can perform multivariable sweeps of component values and frequency. SimSmith can also display waveforms of any periodic signal described using a familiar 'oscilloscope' style display. SimSmith is not limited to 'ladder circuits'. This allows the user to describe an analyze a variety of circuit topologies no other Smith chart program can support. SimSmith is a free program and runs on most modern personal computers.
