An admirer of the Broons, the SCottish family that appear in the Sunday Post and still trapped in the 1930s. The original stories bt Dudley D Watkins, who did the strip until his untimely death in 1969, are the best! He was a superb Artist and Storyteller, even if he did recycle some of his best plots (How many times did the Broon boys make a hash of building a bookcase? How many times did Paw end up being wheeled home in a pram?) and most stories ended with someone exclaiming "Oh No!" on doscovering something "shocking" such as Paw biling up tea with his mates when MAw had brought her "posh" friends home.
