Shatzky

Shatzky applies her virtuoso skills to Electronic Punk while approaching a variety of keyboard instruments in unconventional ways. Her playful songwriting revolves around the struggle between awareness and self-destructive tendencies. The lyrics examine facets of dealing with emotional trauma, self-doubt and social expectations. Schatzki (Sarit Shatzky) rebels against conformity and conventions of classical music by merging her expertise as a pianist, singer, composer and choreographer. Since 2006 Shatzky performs internationally as a solo musician. In Berlin she created the electronic rock duo AllesKlar! as a feminist answer to chauvinistic rap.
