XERXES THE DARK

Xerxes The Dark is the dark ambient project of award-winning composer and electronic musician Mohammadreza Govahi. Founded in 2005, XTD explores themes of mysticism, cosmic horror, and metaphysical darkness, blending dark ambient, drone, and industrial elements. A pioneer in Iran’s experimental music scene, he also leads the projects Nyctalllz (noise/experimental) and Morego (chillout/downtempo/IDM). Holding a Bachelor of Music, he is known for international collaborations with foreign record labels and artists. Recently, he earned international recognition by winning the Web3 Music Awards and securing 1st Place at the Best Song Festival, along with a prestigious university prize.
