The Awakening

The Awakening is a Gothic / Darkwave band born in Johannesburg, South Africa as the creative expression of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Ashton Nyte. The Awakening’s self-titled 12th album was released on 18 October 2024. Ashton Nyte has released 8 solo albums, 2 books and contributed vocals and lyrics to a number of other projects, featuring members of The Cure, Bauhaus, The Mission, Beauty In Chaos and others.
