Archive of various themes from the Yume Nikki (ゆめにっき) soundtrack. People have left numerous comments remarking on the wistful feelings stirred in seeing much older discussion on these videos, dating back to more than 10-15 years. It's astonishing to what degree the game continues to rouse the spirits of younger players, and it certainly must feel strange observing a time capsule of like minds from an entire cultural generation prior. I recently re-read Toby Fox's 2023 foreword on the game and interview with Kikiyama, and noted in particular that he described how the game "shines like the sun" among a litany of similar liminal space exploration and narrative games. I think that's a fitting appraisal!
