Khalil Shashit began DJing in 1999 in Damascus, at a time when DJ culture was still emerging in the city. As one of the very few DJs active then, he helped shape the early underground scene. Mixing Rai music with hip hop, Khalil created a unique sound that blended North African rhythms with urban beats. Working with cassettes and vinyl, he built his sets by hand long before digital equipment became common developing a raw, authentic style rooted in true DJ craftsmanship.
