Michelle Agnes Magalhaes (Brazil, 1979) is a composer working in the fields of instrumental music, chamber music, symphony, and opera, as well as hybrid, electronic, and interactive forms. Beginning her compositional life under the mentorship of Hans Joachim Koellreutter (1994) and deepening her studies with Salvatore Sciarrino and Chaya Czernowin, Michelle Agnes earned a bachelor's degree in musical composition, as well as a master's degree, from the State University of Campinas (2002).
