Noel Hefele, Artist, Landscape Painter
I'm Noel Hefele — eco-artist, landscape painter, and Bronx resident. My work centers on landscapes that most people walk past without seeing: the Tibbetts Brook daylighting project in the northwest Bronx, the forgotten Putnam Railway trail, the wetlands and meadows of Van Cortlandt Park.
I paint these places because I believe landscapes have to be witnessed before they can be cared for. The paintings are documentary acts. The channel is where I bring you along.
